An international summit of digital humanities centers and funders will take place at King’s College London, on July 3-4, immediately preceding the Digital Humanities 2010 conference. Made possible in part by funding from the U.S. National Endowment of the Humanities (NEH), this summit aims to facilitate international collaborations among centers and funders from North America, the United Kingdom and Ireland, Continental Europe, and Asia Pacific.

Discussion at the summit will cover a wide range of topics, including the following:

• Opportunities and mechanisms for collaboration among centers, among funders, and between both groups;
• Articulation of mutual research goals so as to avoid duplication of effort among centers and to best leverage local expertise, content, and support;
• Development of joint policy agendas and successful strategies for pursuing them;
• Methods for optimizing collaborative opportunities between humanities content specialists and the technological community;
• Roles played by centers and funders in international cyberinfrastructure;
• Other issues of mutual concern.

A summary of the proceedings will be delivered at the centerNet General Members meeting on Friday, July 9, 1:00-2:00, during the DH 2010 conference at King’s College London.
