Does anyone know of a survey of DH programs about how they got started?
Our university does not have a DH program (much less a center) and I am interested in learning about the experience of others who have started programs. Any lessons learned would be very valuable.

The ARL Spec Kit on Digital Humanities, http://publications.arl.org/Digital-Humanities-SPEC-Kit-326/ has some information. It's got a research library bent, based on the organization that sponsored it and who answered the survey.
And centerNet has recently begun compiling a list of resources on starting and sustaining DH centers and programs.
